Where do you think Hurricane Irma will make landfall (in the U.S if it does)

      I think Irma will take Irene’s path, up into the Chesapeake Bay because of that high pressure ridge. I think it will steer it and make landfall near Delaware. I’m asking this because I live in NJ and I don’t want a Category 3+ hurricane hitting us.

      Tough to tell this far out. Going to depend on how much of a northward curve it takes once it nears the states. That’s what’s fascinating – and scary – about tracking hurricanes. For the time being, it looks to be taking a nice strong curve, but…..Doesn’t take much of an alternation in the pressure systems to give it a little leeway to do something unpredicted. Here’s hoping NJ stays safe.

      Naples, FL   West Coast but the East Coast got it just as bad. I was there terrible winds…
