The 5.1 magnitude North Carolina earthquake was felt by my mom all the way in Lawrenceville Ga. Did anyone else feel it?
Millions of others will say yes.

It was centered right next to a small town.
It even left a crack on a hill.
A 5.1 earthquake on the east coast will be felt over a much wider area than a 5.1 on the west coast because of the rocks in the east compared to the west.
The 5.8 earthquake in 2011 was felt hundreds and hundreds of miles away.
Living in California I’ve been through many earthquakes – most minor. A 5.1 in NC? That’s unusual!
